Rocket Signage presents selected Rocket content on a compatible television or display. It uses Cast mode in the Rocket Touchscreen app. For an ordinary touchscreen, leave the app in its default mode.

Create a screen

  1. Open Rocket Signage in the Customer Portal.
  2. Choose New Screen.
  3. Enter a clear screen name and create it.
  4. Configure Selected Categories with only the folders intended for that display.
  5. Copy the screen’s display code.
  6. On a compatible display or player, open Rocket Touchscreen, switch to Cast mode, and enter the code.
  7. Verify the result on the actual device.
You can turn on the title and enter your own wording. If you leave it blank, Rocket uses the folder name.

Find the display app

On a compatible display or player, download Rocket Touchscreen from Google Play or the Apple App Store, open it, and switch to Cast mode. The app is named Rocket Touchscreen in the stores, even though the screen feature is called Rocket Signage. Rocket Video Cast is a different app. If you cannot find Rocket Touchscreen, contact support with the display or player model and operating system so the team can check compatibility. For a Nio S15 / RocketSignage Screen, follow Nio setup. For a ZenStick / RocketSignage stick, follow ZenStick setup. Both guides cover the hardware and network steps before entering your display code.

Share a browser preview

Each configured screen has a browser preview that you can open without setting up another display.
  1. Open the screen in Rocket Signage.
  2. Select the link icon labeled Copy preview link on the screen card.
  3. Paste the copied link into a browser or share it with an intended reviewer.
Anyone with the preview link can open it without signing in, so share it only with people you intend to show it to. Opening the preview does not make the physical display appear online in Rocket Signage.

Show records in Rocket Signage

Rocket Signage supports folders that contain profiles, championship banners, or records. A selected Record Collection folder can display its valid records even though record rows do not use the profile publish control. Profiles, banners, and other non-record content must still be published to appear. When you select a folder, open the picker to see its complete folder path. The menu expands for long paths and stays within the browser window. Use Search folders… when similar folder names appear in more than one part of the site. If an older screen includes folders that are no longer accessible from the current site, the editor may ask you to remove them from the screen’s selection before saving new content. Canceling leaves the screen unchanged. If you confirm removal, check the saved screen afterward; this does not delete the original folders.

Show Google Slides in Rocket Signage

Google Slides presentations on a Rocket Signage display use a full-screen player without the slide-number bar. A running display reloads the deck every 20 minutes so published slide changes can appear without restarting the screen. Rocket keeps the current deck visible while the refreshed version loads. After the swap, the presentation restarts at slide 1. If a published change is still missing after 20 minutes, collect the screen name and Google Slides link before contacting support.

Upload a video to a screen

  1. Open the screen in Rocket Signage and select Add content.
  2. Choose Upload and check the selected Rocket Site.
  3. Choose your video under Upload from computer, then select Add to Timeline.
  4. Wait for the upload to finish. Confirm the video appears in the timeline, then test it in the browser preview and on the intended display.
The video upload limit is 350 MB. For a larger file, trim or compress the video before uploading it.

If the upload fails

Read the message in the upload window. The selected file stays ready for another attempt; it is not added to the timeline after a failed upload.
  • For a connection error, check your connection and select Add to Timeline again when you are ready.
  • If the message says your session may have expired, refresh and sign in again, then choose the file again. Ask your site admin for upload access if signing in does not help.
  • If you do not have permission, choose a site you can upload to or ask its admin for access.
  • If a file within the limit is still rejected as too large, contact support with the filename, file size, screen name, and exact message.
Not every television is automatically compatible. Confirm internet access, operating system, player, and Rocket app availability before relying on a setup. If you need help, send support the screen name, a photo or short video of the problem, and the TV or player model if you know it. Tell us whether the browser preview has the same problem.
