Check the public view
Open the page in a private browser window while signed out. If the folder looks empty, the items inside it may be hidden, unpublished, deleted, moved, or left out by a filter. By default, folders with no published content do not appear in public folder navigation. To keep them visible, turn on Show Published Folders When Empty. This is a site-wide setting, not a per-folder choice. Visitors opening an empty published folder see More content coming soon!. The folder and every parent folder must still be published. Folders named New Folder or Restored Profiles remain excluded. Give new folders meaningful names and move recovered profiles into their intended folder before checking again. A folder description alone does not change visibility. Add and publish content when it is ready, or use the empty-folder setting while you prepare it. You do not need to create an extra entry just to show the coming-soon message. Why does a published folder open straight to its contents?
Rocket skips some single-choice pages for signed-out visitors:- If the main folders page or a parent folder has only one eligible child folder, it opens that child directly.
- If a folder has only one eligible item, it can open the item directly instead of showing its folder card. Unpublished items and unnamed New Profile entries do not count as eligible profiles.
- The single-item shortcut does not apply to Banners, Modern Banners, Name Plates, List, Record Columns, or Record Rows layouts. These keep the folder page even with one item.
