Use Rocket Graphics to create images with your school’s branding. Start with a template, ask for changes in chat, or edit the design yourself. For display screens, see Rocket Signage.

Choose a Rocket Graphics template

  1. Open Graphics in the Customer Portal and choose the site.
  2. Use Search for templates or choose a category such as Athletics, Awards, Announcements, Academics, Alumni, or Screens.
  3. When no search or filter is active under Browse All, review Recommended Templates and Touchscreen Templates.
  4. Under All Templates, refine the list with Theme Pack, Type, Sport, Format, or Use Case. Use Case includes Touchscreen and Rocket Signage, so social designs do not need to appear with screen-focused results. You can sort by recommended order, name, or newest.
  5. Use Columns: Auto or choose 4, 5, 6, or 7 columns to change how many templates appear side by side.
  6. Select a template. If more results are available, select Load more templates.
Saved work appears under Your saved designs.

Edit text, images, and icons

Use Layers or select an item in the preview. A layer is one part of the design, such as a text box, photo, or logo. The All, Brand, Media, and Text tabs help you find the controls you need. Open or close sections such as Brand, Main Text, Media, and Icons as needed. Select the eye control beside a layer to hide or show it. A hidden layer stays hidden in the saved design and exported image.
  • For text, click where you want to edit in the preview. The blinking text cursor shows where you will type. Use the arrow keys to move through the text, even when it spans several lines. Click outside the text to stop editing. Open Move to change its position, size, or angle. Under Color, turn on Override to choose a color for that text layer. Use Forced capitals to make the text uppercase while keeping endings such as the rd in 3rd lowercase. Use Font to choose a font, or select Template font to return to the template’s font.
  • For an image or logo, select Choose media or Replace. You can search the Media Library or upload an approved image.
  • For an icon, select Choose icon or Replace icon and search the icon list.
  • For an image, open the … menu. Under Inner Position, use the arrow controls to move the crop, center it horizontally or vertically, and use Zoom to change its size inside the frame. Move changes or centers the whole image layer’s position and also controls its scale and rotation. Select Revert to original to restore the image that was present when you opened the design.
You can also drag an image from your computer or the Media Library onto the canvas. When Drop to replace the nearest image appears, release it over the image slot you want to replace. Check the selected layer before saving. Use Undo and Redo for changes made during the current editing session. Edits save automatically. Wait for the footer to change from Saving changes… to Changes saved before leaving the editor. If it shows Reload required or Save failed, do not assume the latest edit was saved; collect the project name and error before contacting support.

Animate a Rocket Graphic

  1. Open a saved design or choose a template.
  2. In Layers, select Animate.
  3. Choose Subtle, Smooth, Bold, Fun, Explosive, Slam, Suspense, or Cute. Choose Off to keep the graphic still.
  4. Use Stop preview or Replay animation to review the motion. Select Back to layers when you are ready to continue editing.
  5. Open Export and choose MP4 video for an HD file or Animated GIF for a 720-pixel GIF.
Each animation is three seconds long. Wait for Export complete before closing the progress dialog. If a GIF is too large, export an MP4 instead. If an MP4 is too large or the export takes too long, choose Subtle and try again. For a logo layer, select Choose media or Replace, then choose Search For Logo…. Enter the school’s website. Rocket adds the found logo to the Media Library and places it in the layer. Confirm that the result is the correct current logo before exporting.

Remove a background or upscale an image

Select the image layer and open the … menu. Under Remove Background, choose Local (Low Quality/Fast) or OpenAI (High Quality/Slow/Cloud). To increase the image’s resolution, use Upscale Image, which uses OpenAI (High Quality/Slow/Cloud). An option labeled Cloud processes the image online and may take up to a minute.

Update graphic colors

In Brand, edit a color directly or select Shuffle Colors to try combinations of your site’s primary and secondary colors. Rocket also adjusts text colors to make them easier to read when it can check the background. Text over photos, backgrounds that blend colors, transparent areas, or other backgrounds it cannot check keeps its existing styling. Use the adjacent Shuffle random colors control for other combinations. Select Reset Colors to return to the site colors.

Export a Rocket Graphic

Open the export menu and choose one of the available destinations:
  • Export to Media Library saves the final image with the site’s reusable media.
  • Export to File downloads the graphic.
  • If Export to Social Media appears for your site, open it to use the Export to Social dialog. Review the graphic preview and choose the connected X, Facebook, or Instagram accounts. An account marked Reconnect required must be connected again before you can select it.
To publish from Export to Social:
  1. Write or review the caption and select the destination accounts.
  2. Choose Now or Schedule. For a scheduled post, confirm the date, time, and time zone.
  3. Select I reviewed the graphic, caption, accounts, and timing.
  4. Select Publish now or Schedule post.
An immediate post first appears as Queued while Rocket publishes it in the background. A future post appears as Scheduled. Keep the dialog open to see status updates under Recent posts. A completed post appears as Published and may include an Open published post link. A rejected post appears as Failed with the available error details. Before publishing or scheduling, check the graphic, caption, accounts, date, and time. Make sure you have permission to use the images. If a social service is marked Not configured, contact support for help connecting it. If you need help, send support the design name, a screenshot, and what you were trying to do. Include any error message you see.
