Visitor tools collect contributions from people who are not signed-in site admins. Review every submission before making it public.

Review a visitor submission

Signed-in admins can find the hidden submission area from Explore when submissions are enabled. Before publishing, verify:
  • The person’s identity and spelling
  • The biography or caption
  • Image quality and content appropriateness
  • Media rights and school policy
  • The destination folder
  • Any sensitive or private information
Edit, hide, or remove the submission when needed. Visitor submissions are not a replacement for ordinary editing in the website editor. Face Search lets visitors upload or take a photo of a face on their phones to find matching public photos. The touchscreen shows a QR code visitors can scan to open Face Search on their phones. It does not use the touchscreen camera for the current visitor flow. If Face Search is missing or finds no matches:
  • Confirm the site is set up to recognize faces in photos.
  • Confirm Rocket has finished checking the relevant photos for faces and that those photos are public.
  • Try a clear, front-facing image.
  • Contact support if configuration needs to be checked.
Before enabling Face Search, confirm the school’s privacy, consent, and content policies. Only authorized public media should be searchable.

Understand Rocket Rally

Rocket Rally is a visitor-facing submission form. It sends new entries to a selected folder for admin review.
  • Submissions are unpublished by default.
  • The admin chooses the destination folder during setup.
  • A test submission should land in the intended unpublished review area.
  • Rocket Rally does not replace a planned project to move a large archive or add a record board.
Review identity, spelling, image quality, permissions, and folder placement before publishing a Rocket Rally entry. When enabled, the Photo Booth home button opens Photo Booth for visitors to take a photo. Try it on your site and check the wording about permission to take or use photos before inviting visitors to use it.
