Use the Person/Team content type for individual profiles and team pages.

Add one person profile

1

Open the destination folder

Navigate to the folder where the profile should appear.
2

Create the profile

Select Settings & Layouts → Add Content → Person/Team.
3

Add the main facts

Complete the name, date fields, short text fields, and Description. Use short paragraphs and put searchable facts such as year, team, award, or position in clear fields.
4

Add media

Open Media to upload the Main Photo / Headshot. Use Add Photos and Videos for supporting media.
5

Review the page

Check the profile page and its card in the parent folder. Rocket auto-saves the changes.
For a video overview, watch Adding profiles. It uses an earlier version of the website editor; follow the written steps above for current controls.

Add a team profile

Use the same Person/Team type. Enter the team name, season, description, roster, and photos. If visitors should be able to search for each team member, add a separate person profile for each member in the same folder.

Add team photos to a profile

  1. Open the profile and select Media.
  2. Select Add Photos/Videos to upload team and action photos or choose them from the Media Library. Keep any existing media you still want.
  3. Use Main Photo / Headshot if a team photo should be the profile’s main image.
  4. Review the photos on the public profile and its card in the parent folder.
If the gallery control is missing, change to a gallery-capable profile layout. For photos shared across several profiles, see add the same gallery photos to several profiles.

Set a default profile image for a folder

  1. Open the folder containing the profiles and select Media.
  2. Expand Default Images and upload the logo or image under Default Profile Image.
  3. Open a profile without its own Main Photo / Headshot and check the image on the public page.
The default image is used when a profile has no main photo. It does not replace main photos already assigned to individual profiles.

Format a biography

Use short paragraphs in Description. Include names, years, teams, awards, and positions in the matching fields as well as the biography so visitors can find them in search.

Standard fields

Common fields include First Name, Last Name, Date One, Date Two, Text 1, Text 2, Description, Main Photo, and additional photos or videos. Labels can be configured for the site.

Add an email address to a profile

Open the profile’s Text tab and enter the email address in Text 1, Text 2, or Description. Use an available field without replacing information you want to keep. Profiles do not have a separate Email field. You can rename an existing short text field to Email; it still uses that field and its existing filter options. Adding an address to Description does not create a dropdown filter. Only use an address approved for public display.

Change a profile page layout

  1. Open the profile you want to change.
  2. Select Settings & Layouts → Layout Options in the editing bar on the right.
  3. Choose an available profile layout, such as Automagic or Classic Dark.
  4. Review the profile’s text and media in the live preview, then check the public page.
This changes the profile page, separately from the folder-card layout. Available layouts depend on the entry type. Switching layouts does not delete the existing content. Classic Dark does not support gallery photos. To add supporting photos, switch to Automagic, then use the profile’s Media tab. See add and edit photos. You can also ask Rocket Assistant to help with this.

Show Previous and Next Profile buttons

Show Navigation Buttons lets visitors move between profiles in the same folder without returning to the folder each time.
  1. Open the folder containing the profiles.
  2. Select Settings & Layouts → Advanced Options in the editing bar on the right.
  3. Turn on Show Navigation Buttons.
  4. Open an individual profile, close the editing bar, and check Previous Profile and Next Profile on a desktop or large touchscreen.
The arrows follow the folder’s profile order. The first profile has no previous arrow, and the last has no next arrow. A folder with only one eligible profile has neither. Unpublished profiles and unnamed New Profile entries are excluded when the editing bar is closed. The control is available for profile folder layouts, including Carousel. It is not available for Record Rows or Record Columns. If it is missing, check the folder’s layout before changing another setting. These buttons appear on profile pages; they do not change the homepage Explore button, the Back button, arrows within a carousel, or the folder’s cards. They are hidden on phone-sized screens. On large portrait displays, look in the left and right groups of page controls. The arrows can appear for signed-out visitors. Closing the editing bar can change which profiles are available for navigation, even while you remain signed in. If the control is unavailable or the arrows are still missing on a larger screen, email support@rocketalumnisolutions.com with a link to the profile and a screenshot. Tell us whether you were using a computer or touchscreen and whether the editing bar was open or closed.

Enter multiple years consistently

When one field contains several years, separate them with commas, such as 2022, 2023, 2024. Use the same format across every profile so filters and search work consistently.

Add many profiles

For a spreadsheet import:
  1. Open the destination folder and download its current bulk-upload template.
  2. Match the required headings exactly.
  3. Use one row per profile and one spreadsheet per destination folder.
  4. Include complete names, years, categories, biographies, and photo filenames that match the files you provide.
  5. Explain any abbreviations and tell us how you want the profiles grouped, such as by team or year.
Create profile information first, then match headshots through Bulk Edit or a data-entry request. Adding image links to a spreadsheet does not necessarily upload those images as profile photos.

Why Bulk Upload is unavailable in an empty folder

Some tools for adding many items at once appear only after the folder has an example profile or its content has been set up. For help adding a large amount of content for the first time, use a data-entry request.

Add many headshots after profiles exist

Open Bulk Edit under Add Content in the right-side Settings & Layouts tab. Drag each photo to the matching profile. Name the photo with the person’s full name. Add a year or team name if two people share a name. If a photo lands on the wrong person, replace or move it. Give the photo a clearer filename before continuing.

Handle duplicate people

Keep one complete profile for a person when their history belongs together. Before merging or removing duplicates, check which profile has the full text and media.
