Use a Record Collection to show achievements such as the fastest race times or most points scored. Use a Championship Banner to celebrate a championship team or season.

Create a Record Collection

  1. Open the destination folder.
  2. Select Add Content or Bulk Upload Content → Records.
  3. Enter the event, athlete or team, year, and result. Include the unit, such as seconds or feet.
  4. Check the sort direction so the best result appears first. For race times, the lowest time is usually best; for points scored, the highest score is usually best.
Adding records can change how the folder looks. Keep records in their own folder, separate from profiles and championship banners.

Publish records or keep them as drafts

New records start as drafts. A Draft label means the row is available in the website editor but hidden from visitors in Record Rows and Record Columns layouts. To publish one record:
  1. Open its records folder in the website editor.
  2. Find the row and select Publish beside Edit.
  3. Wait for the change to finish. To hide the row again, select Unpublish.
To publish several records in the same record collection:
  1. Open the records folder in the website editor.
  2. Open the record collection’s three-dot More Options menu and select Bulk Edit Record.
  3. Select the intended rows, then choose Bulk Action → Publish or Unpublish. You can also change an individual row’s Published checkbox.
  4. Check any error message before continuing. If some rows failed, retry only those rows.
Bulk publishing works within one record collection at a time. Repeat these steps for each collection. The folder’s Bulk Edit button in the editing bar manages the collections themselves, not their individual records. When importing records, leave Publish imported records unchecked to keep them as drafts. Select it only when the imported rows are ready for visitors. Publishing a row does not publish its folder. The folder and every folder above it must also be visible. Keep a folder hidden while you prepare its content. Before sharing a record board, open its link in a private browser window while signed out. Confirm that only the intended rows appear. A signed-out visitor who opens a hidden folder’s direct link returns to the homepage. If the public board is missing a row you expected to share, check that both the row and its folder are visible. See missing-content checks for more help.

Enter values and units

Use the same units for every result in a category. For example, enter all long-jump distances in feet and inches rather than mixing feet and meters. Include % for a percentage. If the records appear in the wrong order, check the values and units first. Then check the sort direction—whether the list puts the lowest or highest result first. Record-row text color cannot be changed in the website editor. Category Text Color does not change the text inside record rows.

Handle ties

When two results are equal, they share the same rank. Show ties shows or hides the mark that identifies a tie. Turning it off does not change anyone’s rank.

Organize a large record board

A clear sports structure is:
  1. Individual
  2. Team
  3. Other record folders
Within Individual and Team, place Game, Season, and Career first, followed by remaining categories. For help adding a large record board, send a spreadsheet or a clear photo of your current board with a data-entry request. Include the names, years, and results you want shown. Explain any abbreviations the Rocket team may not recognize.

Correct a historical record

Found a mistake in an older record? Ask Rocket Assistant to help correct it. Share a link or screenshot of the record and tell it what the record should say instead. A photo of the record board, a score sheet, or a link to the correct result can help. For example: “The 2018 girls soccer record says 18 wins. Please change it to 19 wins. I’ve attached the season results.” Review the result to make sure the correct record was updated. If you need more help, use Chat with our team in Assistant. If the same name appears twice, check the year and result before deleting either entry. Both may be correct.

Add championship banners

Open the destination folder and choose Add Content → Championship Banner. Use consistent sport, title, year, logo, and supporting media. For a large archive, organize the banners in a spreadsheet and submit a data-entry request. Include the matching image filename on each row so the team can tell which image belongs to each banner.

Use Modern Banners when available

Modern Banners is an optional layout for eligible championship-banner folders.
  1. Open the banner folder.
  2. Select Settings & Layouts → Layout Options → Modern Banners.
  3. Choose a folder-level Pennant Variant: Image Feature, Jersey, Text, Table, or Years.
  4. Choose Pennant Size as Full or Short and Pennant Theme as Default or Inverted.
  5. Review the folder and an individual banner in the live preview.
Changing the layout keeps the existing banner content. If Modern Banners is not listed, the option is not enabled for that site or folder. Contact support instead of choosing an unrelated layout.
