# Rocket Touchscreen app setup

> Install Rocket Touchscreen on a compatible Android display with Google Play, connect to the network, and enter your Rocket site ID.

Use this guide for a **compatible Android display with Google Play**. If you are unsure whether your hardware supports this setup, confirm the display model and Android version with [Rocket support](https://rocketalumnisolutions.mintlify.site/getting-started/get-support.md) before installing.

For a Windows or managed ChromeOS computer, use [Set up your own hardware](https://rocketalumnisolutions.mintlify.site/setup/own-hardware.md). For an Elo Backpack, ClearTouch, or ClearDigital Way Screen, [choose its hardware guide](https://rocketalumnisolutions.mintlify.site/setup/guide.md).

Optional: if using ethernet, plug in LAN cable to screen and skip next 2 steps

## STEP #1

Go to the settings app > Internet > Connect Your Wifi

## STEP #2

"Power off the screen, then turn back on. It should open to a tablet view with apps.

(If it ever asks for an administrator password, that is 800000

## STEP #3

Download the app:

Go to the Google Play Store 

Sign in to the Play Store with a school-approved Google account, or create one per your district's email policies

Search and Install "Rocket Touchscreen" on GPlay Store

Skip credit card if asked

## STEP #4

Open the app

Say "Got it" when app is pinned

## STEP #5

Enter your site ID

This is the alphanumeric string at the end of **YOUR** Rocket display site's URL, see example below; the *example* ID is 732
